IN THE FIELD: Have A Great Weekend!

Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing

— absolutely nothing —

half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.

Lovely, David. And a quote from one of my favorite stories! (I read about mole and rat and toad at least once a year)

Beautiful photo! We’re hoping to go sailing with Leonie at some stage this autumn. I’ve never been in a proper yacht so I can’t wait!

    • September 8, 2012 at 3:35 pm

Thanks Jo, do I believe you will have a grand time sailing!!! It’s amazing out there…the wind, the water, camaraderie…

How lovely. Anything with boats like this always remind me of the Truman Show. I took some photos of boats today too!

Thanks Meanderer, I LOVE that movie!!! We have friends that had seen it and raved, but we insisted they not tell us anything about it…what a surprise it was! Can’t wait to see your photos!!!

Nice photo. Someone just quoted this Wind in the Willows line in one of my recent posts.

    • September 10, 2012 at 1:17 pm

Thanks Karen, I had several quotes lined up, but I have always liked this one and figured it was most appropriate.

Cool shot! 🙂 I am sure you had a great weekend! It was so hot here, Charlie and I cycled to a park for a little picnic, such a great day 🙂

    • September 10, 2012 at 1:24 pm

Thanks Kristina, I had a busy weekend…cleaning the house! We are getting ready to sell and find another closer to our Moms. The heat spell finally broke and it was down to 53 degrees F. this morning…ahhhh. I love picnics too!

      • September 12, 2012 at 11:09 am

you should of told me, I could of given you a hand with cleaning, I am good at it 😀 Does that mean you will be far away from your favourite place – the plant garden?

      • September 27, 2012 at 12:39 pm

The house is clean and we’ve had two showings already. There are a few plant garden centers near the area we are looking. Plus we are trying to find a place with a flat back yard so we can have a garden of our own again. That’s what we miss the most from our old house.

    Beautiful!

    • September 12, 2012 at 1:05 pm

      Thanks Fergie, boats, water…me happy!

  13. September 27, 2012 at 10:07 am

My dad would agree with your quote :). I haven’t seen a spinnaker in years! Love the vintage feel to this shot.

    • September 27, 2012 at 12:36 pm

I love that quote! Whenever I see boats of any sort, everything in my life stops. Maybe I was a sea captain in a past life LOL Glad you liked the photo!

  14. September 27, 2012 at 10:48 pm

    Ahhhhhh…..boats & water, me happy too! 🙂
