IN THE FIELD: Have A Great Weekend!
Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing
— absolutely nothing —
half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.

Beautiful, David.
Thanks Bob, guess you know by now, boats are my passion!
Getting you and DH together could be dangerous. He loves sailing.
Hey…a sailing buddy! I’ll be right over and we’ll cast off the lines and hope for a good breeze!!!
Lovely, David. And a quote from one of my favorite stories! (I read about mole and rat and toad at least once a year)
Glad you enjoyed Ted!!! It is a great story! Could you post your link to the new blog post again for me? I get notifications via email but I need to bookmark it so I don’t forget. Thanks Ted!
You bet. Here is the link to the blog:

You can also find it in the last blog entry on my WP blog page. I’m keeping that active so people can find me if they want
Thank Ted!!!
great quote and photo, David
Thanks Jane, enjoy the day!!!
Beautiful photo! We’re hoping to go sailing with Leonie at some stage this autumn. I’ve never been in a proper yacht so I can’t wait!
Thanks Jo, do I believe you will have a grand time sailing!!! It’s amazing out there…the wind, the water, camaraderie…
How lovely. Anything with boats like this always remind me of the Truman Show. I took some photos of boats today too!
Thanks Meanderer, I LOVE that movie!!! We have friends that had seen it and raved, but we insisted they not tell us anything about it…what a surprise it was! Can’t wait to see your photos!!!
Nice photo. Someone just quoted this Wind in the Willows line in one of my recent posts.
Thanks Karen, I had several quotes lined up, but I have always liked this one and figured it was most appropriate.
P.S. I checked out your blog…you have another follower….Ahhh New England…Maine especially has always felt like home to us. Many vacations, honeymoon etc..Blue Hill, Southwest Harbor and the list goes on and on…
Thank you so very much!
So much fun! Love the red in the blues.. 🙂
They certainly had a lot of sail up that day!!! Love the water!!!
Beautiful, so beautiful… Thank you dear David, love, nia
So glad you enjoyed this one Nia…I know how you love the water!
A little late to comment as the weekend is already behind us, but have a marvellous week! 🙂
Hi Anne, I do hope you have a marvelous week also! I always look forward to hearing from you!
Cool shot! 🙂 I am sure you had a great weekend! It was so hot here, Charlie and I cycled to a park for a little picnic, such a great day 🙂
Thanks Kristina, I had a busy weekend…cleaning the house! We are getting ready to sell and find another closer to our Moms. The heat spell finally broke and it was down to 53 degrees F. this morning…ahhhh. I love picnics too!
you should of told me, I could of given you a hand with cleaning, I am good at it 😀 Does that mean you will be far away from your favourite place – the plant garden?
The house is clean and we’ve had two showings already. There are a few plant garden centers near the area we are looking. Plus we are trying to find a place with a flat back yard so we can have a garden of our own again. That’s what we miss the most from our old house.
Beautiful!
Thanks Fergie, boats, water…me happy!
My dad would agree with your quote :). I haven’t seen a spinnaker in years! Love the vintage feel to this shot.
I love that quote! Whenever I see boats of any sort, everything in my life stops. Maybe I was a sea captain in a past life LOL Glad you liked the photo!
Ahhhhhh…..boats & water, me happy too! 🙂
Two of the best things in the world!!!!
