Thanks John, all the ribbons were in a heap by the window with the sunlight streaming through them. It was one of those I had to get the shot moments!

Lovely photo, David! I must start wrapping presents myself! 🙂

Thank you Jo, I have to admit…I love wrapping presents as much as shopping or making them!

    Oooooooooo! Purty!

Yeah…Sharon really makes a production out of wrapping…no one ever wants to unwrap the presents. I have a photographic record of things she has wrapped going back quite a few years. Each theme is different than the previous year. One year we did a white on white theme. We used heavy shiny white paper and painted pine cones from the woods white and then attached them to the paper with glue. some packages got splashes of color with ribbons and some had white ribbons. Way cool!

Great description! Folks (including myself) like to keep the package decorations because Sharon makes them so elaborate.

Thanks SB! Isn’t the light great?! I saw this and said “don’t move that pile of ribbons” and ran and got the camera. This is just a small portion of the pile, but it had the best light from the sun.

This looks like the vault of a cathedral that Gaudí might have designed.

I do see the resemblance! He did like to use curves and lines in his works that were inspired by nature.

So lovely! Your wife does beautiful things with ribbon!

    • December 29, 2013 at 12:00 pm

She sure does…I have to look through the archives for some of her past themes. One year she decorated each package with it’s own hand folded fan. Now where are those slides?
