Thanks Marcus, this was shot with a zoom…I suppose I found the sweet spot!

I like how you take a part of a flower and turn the canvas into an abstract image of planes and colors.

Thanks for the great comment John…I guess that has become a bit of a trademark of mine…it’s just the way I see things.

Fantastic macro image David! The detail is amazing! Cheers!!

    • August 4, 2013 at 1:30 pm

Thanks Steve, ok I’ll let the secret out…it’s not a true macro…i.e. I didn’t use a macro lens for this shot. I used a zoom lens on this one with no cropping. A true macro lens is on my wish list!

Lovely vibrant and enlivening colour; very nice!

This plot of tulips sure was vibrant and enlivening…The cool spring we had really prolonged the blooms this year. Last year was windy and way to warm for spring flowers.

I can see why. Just the right amount of light, colour and detail. Lovely!

When you get that true macro lens you will LOVE it! Great shot here 🙂

Thanks Teri, I really want one…I’m thinking 85mm or 105mm. That way it will be duel purpose…macro/telephoto.

      • August 6, 2013 at 10:48 am

I love my 100mm macro; use it for portraits, macro, and far away.
