INSPIRATION: Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock

Our lives are full of countdowns. We count the seconds for the big ball to drop in New York City on New Year’s Eve. We make note of the number of days until our birthday. Some of us even make sure other people know how exactly how many are left until that day.

We will mark off the days on our calendars for our long-awaited vacations. We also know if we have two or three minutes left on the second swat of the snooze alarm in the morning.

I am counting how much time is left until the first day of Spring. It is 4,628 minutes from the moment I post this.

In the northern hemisphere, Spring officially starts on March 20th at 1:14am EDT.

A beautiful photo – such a deep lovely colour. We’re all waiting for spring too. In many ways it feels like it has already arrived, but then the cold wind hits you and changes your mind!

Thanks Jo, we have spring like days and late fall nights. When walking the dogs in the morning it about 35 degrees and then warms up to 70!

I’m counting down too. Still a while to go to see blossoms like this, but the buds are swelling at last!

    • March 16, 2012 at 6:03 pm

The buds will be opening before you know it! The maples are really opening up but the other varieties of trees are a bit slower. I saw leaves on wild rose bushes today!
